Temporary residence in Belarus

In Belarus, there are various legal provisions of foreign citizens. But regardless of the legal status, there are various kinds of restrictions and rules of stay.

According to the legislation on the legal status of foreign citizens, one of these rules is the obligation of a foreigner to register his stay within five days from the date of arrival in the Republic of Belarus. These five days do not include Sundays and holidays. The duration of this registration will be equal to the duration of the visa, or 90 days for citizens with whose countries an agreement on visa-free travel has been concluded. Other foreigners arriving under a visa-free regime through the Minsk National Airport can be registered for up to 30 days.

Foreigners who have arrived and have an appropriate legal basis, and intending to stay on the territory of the Republic of Belarus for more than 90 days a year (90 days six months for citizens of Ukraine, Israel, etc.) have the right to obtain a temporary residence permit that allows them to stay in Belarus for up to 1 year
